I have a love/hate relationship with 3D. It looks cool, makes for a fun theater experience. Seeing kids reach out in front of them to grab whatever is floating in front of their face makes me grin.
However, I get the biggest headache during/after seeing a 3D movie. I call it “3D Headache” and the last one ruined my evening. No, it wasn’t just that I saw My Bloody Valentine 3D.
Anyway, seems there is science to back up this reaction to 3D, and it’s not looking like the 3D Headache won’t be going away any time soon.

In one of the most tragic and baffling computer deaths I’ve ever heard, comes this story. The Times of India is reporting:
A young software engineer working with Tata Consultancy Services was killed in a suspected computer blast at his home on Telugu Brahmin Street in Velachery [India] late on Friday. The incident took place when Vijayakumar (28), hailing from Madurai, was working on the computer.
He was found after his roomate heard a loud blast and came in the room to check on him. The roomate fainted upon seeing the charred remains of his friend.

Where movies such as Watchmen are under-performing, here comes Fast and Furious showing us that people don’t want to use their brains at the theaters.
Fast and Furious (the FOURTH movie in THE Fast and THE Furious Franchise) blew away all expectations and shattered records over the weekend, bringing in $72 million at the box office. This is $30 million over the previous record held by Anger Management at $42 million.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy these movies for the shiny pieces of garbage they are, but it always amazes me that the movies that make the most money are the least ambitious.

Viggo Mortenson, one of our generations most prolific actors may be stepping down from acting based on comments he made in an interview with the South African web site News24.com:
He mentioned that he’s
“taking measures to change that. No more movies. I haven’t said yes to one in over a year … there are other things I want to do. It’s not the right time.”
And recent offers were
“complete crap, all about product placement and marketing. I don’t need the money.”
